PD Opporunities
As the school year continues, at SETSA we are thinking about ways we can increase our knowledge base as an LAT cohort. If you are interested in completing Level B Assessment training, here are some external providers that may interest you:
https://coursesforteachers.ca/bc/certificates/BCLEVELB (Queens University) * 5 course certificate to be taken over 1-2 years. All courses are offered online. Total approx. cost: $3675.00
https://www.cityuniversity.ca/academics/graduate-programs/standalonelevel/ (CityU University in Canada) * 6 week stand alone course with online meetings from 9-4 each Saturday for the length of the course. Total approx. cost: $2160.00
https://www.uvic.ca/education/psychology/certificates/special-ed-certificate/courses/index.php (University of Victoria) * A 4 course certificate in Special Education. All courses are online aside from a 3 week practicum you must attend during the summer months. Total approx. cost: $3800.00

Shelley Moore is offering a self-paced course about competency based IEP's. You can register for the course at https://fivemooreminutes.teachable.com/courses. It costs 149$ but can get 25% off if you register in September with the code IEPSEASON ( Total is then 111.75). You can also reach out to Steve at YAEP regarding funding! You get 17 hours of video content, samples, and templates that you have access to for a year.

Student Support Services Forms
Student support services has moved forms related to the LAT role onto Staff Share Point. This happened after the move from First Class to Outlook.

Shelly Moore - Learning Series
We kicked off our learning series yesterday with a presentation from Shelly Moore! We set our learning intentions and came together as LAT's to work with Shelly on a variety of different topics. An review of inclusive education in the Yukon is currently underway! Make sure to share your inclusive stories by completing the survey. The survey is only for Yukon educators and is only available for those who can log in with a rapid ID.
